Updating Maxisys mini and a coverage issue

We purchased the Maxisys mini new in Novemember of last year. We have never update the tool. I am finding a coverage issue on a 2005 Lincoln Aviator it will not allow the power balance function to operate. So I thought I would update the tool. Looking at my registration screen it says there is updates available. I connected the tool to the internet hit update it loads and then says no update available. What am I doing wrong? Thanks -

Did you register the unit? If you did, then you're about 4 months past the 1 year of free updates for the unit and you'll have to purchase updates. If you didn't register, then do so and get the unit updated. On rare occasions, I've run into some Ford products that the power balance will not function. Send an email to support if software update doesn't rectify the issue. -

Update should be available if it's bought last year. Please tell us the S/N
